Four helpful tips for models to have a great photo shoot
When doing a photoshoot it is very important for models to be well prepared.
Here are a few helpful tips that can make a huge difference when doing a photoshoot, whether you are working with a client or doing a photo shoot on your own.
-Nude or neutral color nails: Nude or neutral color nails are almost mandatory unless you are modeling nail polish or the client requests a specific color. Usually, if they do, they will take care of it during the makeup and hair prep. Nude color nails go with every outfit and it won’t clash with any look.
-Clean hair: it is important for your hair to be clean and free of chemicals. This makes it easier for the hairstylist to work with it. No wet hair, ever!!, this can add extra time to the shoot and slow down production as well as increase production costs and time.
-Be on time: tardiness could cost a client thousands of dollars and it could ruin the shoot as well. For example, if the client is shooting at sunset or sunrise there is only a certain amount of time where he can do that, there is only a small window where the shoot can occur and if you are late, the shoot could be canceled or delayed, costing the client more money and time. Another thing to consider is rented space, the client may be renting the space or a prop to use on the shoot such as a car, a motorcycle, etc. and needs to return it by a certain time.
Get a good night’s sleep: Get plenty of rest the night before the shoot that way you can look fresh and not feeling tired or sluggish. This is also going to help you avoid puffy eyes or dark circles. The last and final tip is to drink plenty of water to make your skin glow
