Planning a visit to the Louvre in advance is important as it will not be an easy task if you decide to do it at the last minute and you probably will not be able to enjoy the visit as much.
How to plan a trip there
1- Know the Times
The first thing to know is the timings of the museum. Give yourself ample time to see as much as you can. It’s best to be one of the early birds. This will present you with multiple benefits. One is that you will be in before the crowds really flock in. You will also have a chance to avoid the queue for the ticket and will find it easy to see the art with relative ease.
2- Know the Route
There are going to be more than one routes leading to the Louvre from where you are and there are going to be various options that will be available to you in terms of how to get there. Select one that has the least hassle and will get you to the museum, the fastest.
This can be with the help of a cab, the bus or the train. If you are staying nearby, you can also walk which will also be a healthy exercise.
3- Know What You Want to See
There are so many options that it is literally not possible to see everything in one day. Know where your favorite paintings are and mark them as a priority. Make sure that you watch these first. If you do not have a plan of action, you will be caught looking for paintings that you want to see and will not get a chance to see all. Also if you like a specific kind of paintings, you can start with that section and work your way through others later on. It is important that you are aware of the situation otherwise, you will not be able to enjoy the experience too much.
